Oh my these are so cute and easy! I had 5 of my nephews come over and they helped me make them. I think I'm going to be the coolest aunt for at least a week. If you go to studio5KSL.com they have even more adorable ideas. It's on the 2nd page under Christmas treats. So Fun!

Santa Face Cookies For each cookie, dip one end of a Nutter Butter peanut shaped cookie almost halfway into melted white almond bark or candy coating to create the beard. Immediately sprinkle dipped end with shredded coconut and press gently into almond bark. Let set. Dip other end of cookie approximately ¼ of the way up in the white almond bark to create part of the hat and let set. Dip this hat end again into melted red candy melts leaving a small border of the white showing so it creates a red hat with white trim. Immediately press a miniature marshmallow to the right side of the cookie at the edge of the red to create the look of a ball at the end of the hat. Attach two mini chocolate chips with melted almond bark to middle of cookie to create eyes. Attach a small red hot cinnamon candy below eyes to form nose. (Tips: Roll mini marshmallow slightly to make more round and pliable before attaching to cookie. Also - if you do not want to use coconut on the beard white sprinkles can be used or simpy use a knife to swirl more almond bark on to make a textured and fluffy look.)

Frosty the Snowman Treats (Recipe adapted from http://www.familyfun.com/) Use white or clear piping gel to attach a powdered sugar donut hole to a miniature powdered sugar donut. Unwrap a thin mint candy (such as a miniature York peppermint pattie) and attach to donut hole to become hat brim. Unwrap a miniature peanut butter cup candy or Rolo type candy and attach to top of mint to become the top of hat. Use icing to create a holly leaf and berries on hat brim if desired. Use black piping gel (or other colors) to add eyes, a mouth and buttons to the snowman. To make nose, slice a triangle shaped piece of orange gumdrop, roll slightly to shape and press in granulated sugar to cover any sticky side. Make a hole in donut hole face with a small wood skewer and insert nose. Serve on a plate sprinkled with shredded coconut or on white cotton candy sprinkled with edible glitter to resemble snow.

Lately Jeddy and I have been try to get a little more creative with our date nights. Dinner and a Movie is just getting lame, and it doesn't help that the movies aren't that cool. So last weekend I let Jeddy talk me into hiking up Camel back. I asked before we went if it was a hard hike and he said no it'll be fine. Um yeah LIAR. First of all most people that have known me for 2 minutes could guess I'm not a hiker so what was he thinking. It was not my idea fun. By the time we got to the top it dark because for some reason he thought I would just run up it. It was so dark we got lost coming down. I was a total nut because he wanted me to hike some more and we were a hour late to pick up the girls. For me it was the worst night ever, but for Jeddy it was the coolest thing we ever done. Last weekend we went to Grandma Jeans cabin and had a blast! Milly was happy because she could get dirty and no one was bugging her with baths.

Beach Bums

For the last 2 weeks we have been kickn it at the beach. The first week Bertha and Benton came and got fried! They are such a cute couple they even got cankles together. The Shaws also came up that week. We had so much fun. Abby's favorite was picking strawberries. She ate more than she picked.

Jeddy was supposed to go with us, but the hotel he was working on wasn't done. I was super bummed! Jeff and Nina called him and talked him into coming that weekend to surprise me and the girls. Those sneaky guys! We were so happy to see him!

My brother in law came up with his boys and we went to Sea World!

After he left my Mom came up with my sister Hillary and we went to Disneyland. We had a blast! I tortured Abby by making her go on Splash Mountain!

This is my embarrassing secret I am in love with the twilight series. I think it's my guilty pleasure because I really do have a crush on Edward. First of all I stay up all night reading, and then Jeddy is constantly hearing why can't you be more like Edward. He stays up all night and just watches Bella sleep. Oh my gosh am I really this dorky. Anyways a new book is coming out,The Host, but it's a trick it doesn't have anything to do with Vampires. Its a whole new thing. It should be interesting, maybe I'll see you at Barns and Noble May 6th. Can I get a book club?

This is a hard one to give up because it is so good and easy. It's the only thing Jeddy will not drench with Tapatio. Without tapatio Jeddy would have not survived my horrible cooking.

Avocado Salsa

1 can of Drained Black beans
1 can of shoe pegged corn (you can use any corn)
4 Roma tomatoes cut up
3 Avocados cut up
Green onions
1/2 cup cilantro (Rachael Ray say most of the flavor is in the stems try it it's true)
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp of salt
1/4 cup of Italian dressing

To tell you the truth I never measure a little of that some of this is my favorite way. Try it out you will love it and everyone will think you have mad skills!

I was feeling a little crazy and wanted to sew my girls Easter dresses. My Mom used to always make our dresses as little girls. So yes, I'm turning into my Mom. It blows me away to. Anyways they turned out super cute. The best part about them is they're reversible. Everyone told me I had to make one for me, but the madness has to stop somewhere.

Jeddy will be the first to tell you I had a hard time learning how to cook. Slowly I have gotten better. I'm not going to say I'm a great cook but I found some rock star recipes. Here are a few that never let me down!

Brushetta Chicken-this one is so good and it looks like you did something fancy!

1/4 cup Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing

4 Chicken breast

1 tomato, finely chopped

1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup fresh basil

1.Marinade the chicken in the Dressing I do it over night but the recipe says 10 mins so whatever

2. Grill Chicken uncovered for 6 mins.

3. While it cooks combine tomatoes, cheese, basil, and 2 Tbsp of Dressing

4. Turn chicken over. Place tomato mixture over the top, close lid and cook for another 8 mins.

Try it out you'll love it and it's so easy. I made this at the beach house for my family. They were blown away with my skills.

This is another good one I found at Thanksgiving. It's a vegetable but good enough to eat as a dessert.
sweet potatoes-I buy the big bag from Costco they're cut up like french fries
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place sweet potatoes in a 10x6 inch shallow baking dish and pour orange juice over.
In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt; mix together and cut in margarine. Sprinkle over sweet potatoes.
Bake for 1 hour covered. Remove from oven, sprinkle with marshmallows and broil until browned.

I made this one today to take to my mom's house. It was all gone and I made a huge thing of it!

I loved these Peanut Butter cookies! Sinful!

1 3/4 C flour

1/2 t salt

1 t baking powder

1/2 C butter, softened

1/2 C white sugar

1/2 C peanut butter

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg, beaten

1 t vanilla extract

2 T milk

40 peanut butter cups

1. Preheat 375

2. Flour Mixture

3. Cream together butter, sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar. Beat in the egg, vanilla and milk. Add flour mixture mix well

4. Make 40 balls the recipes says to put it in a mini muffin tin but I do a cookies sheet. Bake for 8 mins.

5. After you remove it form the oven press the peanut butter cup into each cookie.

These are Abby's favorite cookies to make because she unwraps all the peanut butter cups, so we never have enough to put on all the cookies.

Kicked out of Highland

Today was my little sisters 16th birthday! So Brynn, Carli, and I took her cupcakes at lunch. It was so weird to go back! None of the security guards stopped us so we went into the cafeteria with 2 strollers and a few kids. Yah, it was uncomfortable, but the best part was we got asked to leave! It took me back to the good old days of pissing the security guards off. This time was even better because we had our kids with us. It was a good time!

This last week sucked and not just a little! Abby and Milly were both sick. I took Milly to the doctor and she had RSV. I can't handle my kids being sick, I am that crazy Mom that panics about everything! My poor doctor, I think my chart is labled fussy parent. You think I'm kidding, but I overheard them talking. You're not going to believe me but this is a picture of Milly sick. Yes, my baby is happy even with a fever and having a hard time breathing. I wasn't so happy. The doctor didn't believe me she was really sick when he first saw her because she was being all flurty. She gets that from me. I had skills when it came to flurting. I haven't selpt since last Saturday and I am so over breathing treatments. To Quote Jeddy "Valentines day is lame" so we wont even go there. To top it off we also had to give talks in church! So it was a no good very bad week! On the bright side I got a really cute hair cut.

Out of Africa

Last Saturday we wanted to do something fun as a family so we went to Out of Africa.
Jeddy loved it and so did Abby. I missed it, but Jeddy fed the giraffe the carrot out of his mouth. He was feeling a little crazy that day.

You could get so close to all of the animals. Jeddy's favorite part was watching the lions fight and hearing them roar. I was a little freaked, I think the fences could be a little taller. If you have a chance I would go. We had a killer time.

I think I'm going to have to name my next kid beaver. I don't know how it happened, but for some reason I turned into an old lady. My favorite things to do is make cookies and sew. Chance started calling me Granny Annie because I got a sewing machine for Christmas. I don't care because I have made some fabulous stuff. I also have become a pro at making cookies. Yes, Brittany they even have sugar, and they're not hard as a rock. I think my secret weapon is Abby, she brings a little love into them. You can't see how cute it is, but I made her apron.

Last week another wife made cookies and brought them into Jeddy's work. So of course I have been trying out all kind of new recipes so I can show her up. How dare she I'm the one that brings the treats. I might have to start making Jeddy's lunches and leave cute little notes. This girl doesn't know what she is messing with.

I can't believe Christmas is over and it's already 2008. We had such a good Christmas. The Girls loved it. Jeddy and I had the best time watching Abby get excited about all the little things. Abby took forever to open all her gifts because she wanted to open every toy and play with it before we moved to the next. We both thought this would be a year to remember. The best part about Christmas is the day after. Abby stayed in her room all day playing with her new toys. It might of been the first day we didn't have to do a naughty spot. Anyone that has a two year old knows that's a good day. Milly has a good day every day. She is my sweet sweet girl and looks out for my sanity. Just when I think I'm going to Mom crazy she flashes her oh so perfect smile and I remember I do love my kids.

We spent New Years at the beach house. It was a close one because at 7:30 Jeddy was asleep in bed. Don't worry I was saved by Milly. She woke him at at 9:30 and he made it to 11:30 so I got my New Year's kiss from Miss Mills.

I did a little holiday shopping and picked out these stylish outfits. I think they will do nicely for our little get together. Jeddy let me pick his out for him, but he wasn't too happy because it ends up that it's a girls sweater vest. I thought I could trick him, but he knew that woman's button were on the left. Who knows that? Anyways he was nice and still wore it for the picture. I did trick him with his turtle neck. I told him I borrowed it from my dad, but it was my mom's. I hope that doesn't get back to him. Poor Jeddy good thing he loves me! Mar I still want to do pictures. I actually only got Jeddy to do this because he made me cancel with you last week. I don't think he'll do that again.

Thanksgiving at the Beach

We went to the beach house for Thanksgiving. My mom and I cooked Thanksgiving Dinner. My Mom gave me the lesson on how to cook a turkey and it's got all kinds of nasty surprises. My apple pie didn't look so good, but everything else turned out. That is amazing for me because cooking does not come easy. We had a blast after dinner we went for a walk on the beach. It was Milly's first time and she loved it! We have so much to be thankful for!

Milly loves me! She slept a whole 6 hours. It doesn't sound like much, but for me it was huge! She is such a sweet baby. Abby is getting to be a big help too. Unfortunately she has realized that she has much more freedom. I have no idea where half my silverware is and I'm very interested to see where I'll find it. She also has been experimenting with my makeup. It was cute the first time but I'm not getting the camera out anymore. She also has been learning how to be a good mom. This is what she did while I got Milly out of the bath.

You gotta love her. She is such a good big sister, and Milly is a trooper.

We Blessed Milly last Sunday. It was a close one because we showed up late. Both families are at our church thinking this is awkward a baby blessing with no baby. It turned out OK because we showed up just in time to look like complete idiots. Milly looked so cute. I had a little moment of my baby is too adorable then blah spit up like you would not believe. This was also the reason why we were late. Oh what a day.

We had Milly! She is so much fun and the best baby. She only cries for 3 reasons she needs a diaper change, she's hungry, or she sees Abby. Abby is almost too good of a big sister. She wants to be involved in everything. I think Milly will be a early walker just so she can get away from Abby. It has been so much fun and I can't wait until I can sleep again. I really miss that.

Not much new here. The baby's due in two months. Abby has turned to the dark side of terrible twos. So other than a couple tantrums a day things are really good for us.
